Students from Woodlands Academy received their Catering awards on Wednesday 12th July 2017at the presentation evening held at the academy.
They were joined by students from Ebor Academy and Ryedale Special Families who have also completed the Catering courses this year.
Woodlands chair of governors handed out the awards to the students who have all worked hard to achieve outstanding results.
The Introduction to Cooking and Catering and the Cooking Catering and Hospitality qualifications are delivered through Hungate Health and Hygiene based in Scarborough.
The evening highlighted the achievements of all our catering students and it was very clear that we have some very talented young chefs amongst our students.
The qualifications are accredited by Open Awards who offer many skills for learning and employment courses that can be tailored to meet students individual needs.
The courses are practically based and are aimed at preparing students for employment and to give them essential independent living skills preparing them for life after Woodlands.
